Panoramic views of the Exposition universelle de 1900. 1900.

These panoramic photographs provide a record of the impressive vistas along the Seine created by the restoration of the exposition grounds for the Exposition universelle de 1900, the last and grandest of the cycle of five Parisian expositions that began in 1855. This exposition featured a unified complex consisting of the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais, and the Pont Alexandre III which restored the vista from the Champs Elysées to the Esplanade des Invalides. The two views by Neurdein Frères are a panorama of the Parc du Champ du Mars and a view of the façade of the Petit Palais. Views captioned "J.G. phot., Nice" (Jean Giletta?) include: three views of the Rue des Nations along the Rive Gauche and one view each of the Rive Droite, the Pont Alexandre III, the Avenue Nicholas II, and the Esplanade des Invalides.
